FROM YOUR CHAPTER DIRECTORS
Another month of summer is gone....I can hardly believe it. I for one am counting down for the kids to go back to school. But on the other hand that means almost done riding for the season and to tell the truth I have only been on the bike like 5 times....Glen on the other hand has been riding to work to save on gas. There are a lot of things coming up in the near future. The most important thing is the district rally to be held August 11,12, and 13th. We really are in desperate need of people going that can help Chapter D man the poker table... Please let me know if you are going as soon as possible. Plus this will be my last newsletter before the district rally so we all need to wish Bill & Marilyn Eggers lots of luck competing in the Couple of the Year competition. The shirts should be done for the rally. If enough of us are there, we could participate in the shirt competition. Let's go Chapter D!!!
Glen & Kaci
FROM YOUR SAFETY DIRECTOR
We had 37 members present at our June meeting. I talked about taking extra precaution when driving at night. Your vision can be altered with the dark of night.
John and Lisa Cole
Hello all, we need to be saving our pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house ride to be held September 18th. Glen & Kaci will hold on to these for you if you bring them to the meetings.
FROM YOUR CHAPTER RECRUITER
Let's keep the FUN in Chapter "D"! New members and invited speakers want to know that Chapter "D" gatherings are not only a place to learn of the safety and knowledge of GWRRA but that we have FUN too. We want the new members to feel Welcome and WANT to come back to one of our gatherings. Just a Smile and a warm Hi makes a new member feel wanted!
While you are out traveling is a good time to recruit new members. Folks come over and visit and want to know all about GWRRA so pull out that application and sign them up! It's easy and FUN!
Recruiting is fun! If you know of anyone who might want to join us on a ride, come to one of our gatherings, or join us for a dinner, be sure to bring them along. We WELCOME new members and present members at any of our events.
July 13th- Bernie & Jena Bkorlund will host a supper/ice cream ride to Albert Lea. Meet in Nora Springs at 6:00 pm at the Dr Faith Clinic.

Not that we need a reason for the Dairy Queen!!
You may not know this, but, in 1984, President Reagan designated July as “National Ice Cream Month”.
